National quitter day is here – this is the person most likely to forego resolutions

Calling all who give up: This is for you.

On January 10th we celebrate National Quitter’s Day.

Celebrated on the second Friday of January, Quitter’s Day recognizes those who begin the year with the best intentions and strongest resolutions, only to throw in the towel, pick up the bottle, and otherwise in the first few days of their new beginning to fall back to the baseline.

In recent years, nearly three-quarters of Americans have made a New Year’s resolution — but only 48% were successful.

In 2023, the average New Yorker will give up on their resolutions 89 days after making them, giving every member of the zodiac plenty of time to fail and falter in the first few months of the new year.

While we’re all equally capable of rising to the occasion or failing to make progress, one star sign stands out as the most likely to break their New Year’s resolutions this year.

Mars, our planet of action, is currently in retrograde in Cancer, making it difficult for Cancers to stick to good intentions. sakkmesterke – stock.adobe.com

Ah, Cancer, sweet baby angels and patron saint of boredom.

As a zodiac sign ruled by the moon and ruled by stubborn emotions, sticking to resolutions is not a sacred endeavor for Cancer people.

Cardinal, Cancers are more than capable of initiating change when they’re feeling good – but they’re less willing and able to persevere when they’re feeling depressed and defeated.

This year, commitments and resolutions will be particularly difficult for Cancer Suns and Cancer Ascendants as Mars, our planet of action, courage, perseverance and perseverance, will be retrograde in its sign during the last week of February.

When Mars is direct, the planet’s energy naturally lends itself, like a steroid to the ass cheek, to ambition and realization, keeping promises and effectively following through on plans.

However, as the planet gears down, the actionable adrenaline and hot-blooded pulse of our life force also changes as our energy is directed inward rather than outward.

When the planet goes retrograde, we’ll essentially all be introduced to the role of non-player characters.

Mars retrograde is always a collective downer; It takes the wind from your sails and the fire from your belly, and no one will feel these effects more than our dear moon children.

My advice? Wait until the spring equinox on March 20th, when Mars is upright and direct and the glorious, fiery fire of Aries season awaits to honor your new year and your new program.

Good luck out there.
