Naughty Dog's next game just made a major connection to God of War

A great asset for the team

I’m a huge Naughty Dog fan and would love to see the studio’s next game included The Last of Us Part IIII am one of those who suspect that it could be a new IP.

Over the past few weeks, various small details have emerged about the developer’s next project.

Neil Druckmann is said to be directing and writing the script, but that doesn’t necessarily rule it out The Last of Us Part III.

It’s also been confirmed that Troy Baker will star, an actor who previously voiced Joel from The Last of Us and Sam Drake from Uncharted, which doesn’t rule out established IPs either.

The project has been in the works since 2020 and could therefore likely be close to completion in the next year or so, with Druckmann expressing that while he has “full control over the game itself”, he has no control over its announcement.

The reason I doubt that The Last of Us Part III is due to the game being teased this year Grounded II Documentary by Druckmann, although the clip was apparently shot recently.

In the document, Druckmann states that he finally had an idea Part IIIwhich brings me to the conclusion that it is certainly not the project that the studio launched in 2020.

Whether it’s a new IP or something familiar, the project just made an interesting God of War connection.

The Last of Us on HBO returns for a second season next year.

Developer Raf Grassetti has apparently found a new home at Naughty Dog after leaving the Santa Monica studio in 2023.

Grassetti was named art director at Naughty Dog after previously serving as art director on the God of War series.

On Twitter, Grassetti simply posted a Naughty Dog logo with the caption “New Chapter.”

This is a big win for Naughty Dog fans.

The God of War series boasts stunning visuals, and the thought that Grassetti could bring this quality of design to Naughty Dog’s next project is incredibly exciting.

We simply don’t know when the project will be unveiled.

I’d like to appear as a clown at the Game Awards unveiling, but that may be the ultimate wish.
