NCIS Season 22 Update Reveals New Developments in Jessica Knight and Jimmy Palmer’s Relationship

A new one NCIS Executive producer Steven D. Binder’s Season 22 story tease teases another change in Jessica Knight and Jimmy Palmer’s relationship. Knight (Katrina Law) and Palmer (Brian Dietzen) began dating at the very end of Season 19, becoming the CBS procedural’s rare example of an established romantic pairing within the main cast. However, that is NCIS They separated at the end of season 21 when Knight took a new job at the agency, although Palmer wished to remain close to her. However, they may not stay apart for long. In a new interview with TV InsiderBinder gave a preview of an upcoming one NCIS Episode of the 22nd season in which Knight and Palmer are reunited. The episode will also feature a new appearance by Palmer’s daughter Victoria, who will be working on a case with her father. This will pave the way for the show to explore whether Palmer and Knight really should be together. Binder says:

(She) will team up with her father to help take down a notorious bank robber, such as a DB Cooper type individual, and Knight will be involved in this episode. Jimmy has to work undercover. There will be several other women that Jimmy will meet. So now you have Knight there. We’ll see how mature she is when Jimmy is undercover, the bell of the ball and Knight has to watch through a camera.

All the time I think you’ll get the feeling that maybe they’ll be better off together. So we first have to see why they don’t get better together before we see that they get better together. And that’s the fun when you see that they’re not getting any better.

Regarding Victoria’s involvement, Binder added that the character was aged slightly to make the plot more plausible. He said:

…due to some logistical problems during filming, Victoria has become a few years older than usual, but it’s also crazy how quickly time flies.

Knight and Palmer have bright futures ahead of them

Unlike other popular ones NCIS In pairs like Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote de Pablo) and Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), Knight and Palmer didn’t spend much time building their romance with strong subtext and flirtations. In many ways Their dynamic was a breath of fresh airand it was disappointing for many that they broke up.

When NCIS Season 22 began, several months had passed since Knight and Palmer’s breakup.
