New Jersey lottery player wins $1 million after trip to Wawa

A trip to Wawa usually involves spending money, but a New Jersey player won a million dollars after his last visit to the store.

During a family trip to the Jersey Shore, the million-dollar lottery winner had planned the start of his day, but decided to also take a trip to Wawa, the New Jersey Lottery said in the news release.

“I usually get up, go for a walk, get my coffee and some scratch cards. But this time I was on a mission,” the winner, who wished to remain anonymous, told lottery officials. “Something told me to get up, take off my shoes and get my tickets.”
