New Orleans Pelicans make official Brandon Ingram injury announcement

The New Orleans Pelicans desperately needed a spark of any kind. Whether Brandon Ingram or Zion Williamson returns, the team simply needs some firepower back.

Fortunately, it looks like the Pelicans may be able to get one of their key players back in the midst of their nine-game losing streak. The team has announced that Ingram is questionable to return on Thursday against the Phoenix Suns.

“Brandon Ingram (right plantaris tendonitis) played a full practice today and is listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Phoenix Suns,” the team said in an online statement.

Ingram spoke to the media after practice and revealed how he felt before Thursday’s game against the Suns.

“I feel good. “Had a good practice today,” Ingram said. “Got a full workout. “I’ll see how I feel tomorrow and see if I can give it a try.” The ninth-year pro said he had to take a break because of a calf strain: “I wanted to be careful so I could I can stay grounded and be effective for my teammates when I return.”

If Ingram returns without Kevin Durant against the Phoenix Suns, the Pelicans may have a chance to finally shake off their nine-game losing streak. The two teams will meet at 8:00 p.m. EST.
