ForbesWhat can be seen this weekend: new shows and films to stream on Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV and more

What is new and remarkable this weekend

Running point (Netflix)

Running point Sounds a bit like Ted Lasso. In the new Netflix series Mindy Kaling, Kate Hudson Stars produces as Isla Gordon, a woman who inherits her family’s professional basketball franchise. She has to navigate to be a woman in an industry dominated by men and to prove herself and her family that she meets the task. This is Hudson’s first TV role.

The Oscars (Hulu)

The Academy Awards rounds off a busy award season. This year you can stream it on Hulu. Many films are ready for the best picture and I am always excited to see how the academy is not in contact when it comes to winners and losers.

House of David (main video)

The new Epic series from Prime Video House of David Tell the story of the biblical king David, who begins as the slimming young shepherd, who kills the giant Goliath and becomes one of the most important kings of Israel. There are no reviews for this, but the audience gives him 84% for lazy tomatoes.

Teufel in the family: the case of Ruby Franke (Hulu)

I have never heard of Ruby Franke, but apparently she was a big parent who went to prison for severe child abuse. Her family speaks about the ordeal in this new documentary about Hulu.

What I see weekly

Quite a few of my favorite shows are currently streaming. Enough that it is difficult to keep up with everything! We start with my favorite. . . .

Severance Season 2 (Apple TV)

We approach the end of Compensation Excellent second season. If you somehow don’t look at the best show on TV, do yourself a favor and get an Apple TV subscription. There are many other great shows like Slow horses There, so it’s absolutely worth it. Compensation Is an incredible thinking about stimulating dystopic science fiction about a “severance payment process” that can share your work and life in life in Twain. But it’s about the much more than just. Filled with secret and intrigue, a delightful line-up and some of the best writing and production values on the small screen, this is a must. Read my review of season 2, Episode 7 here.

Yellow jackets (Paramount+)

I was not particularly satisfied with the first two episodes Yellow jackets Season 3, but the third really improved things, and I have now seen the first seven episodes of the season (thanks to screener) and have to say that it is much better so far than season 2. Still not as good as in the first season, but a big step in the right direction. The story follows a group of teenage soccer players who collapse in the wilderness in the 90s, as well as their adult colleagues in a separate modern timeline. Strange, supernatural events lead to something of A Lord of the flies Scenario. It is very much in the tradition of Lost.

The white lotus (HBO / Max)

We are only a few episodes deep into the third season of The white lotus And I have to say it is another phenomenal HBO offer by creator Mike White. The anthology show follows various tourists, while visiting various locations of the White Lotus Hotel around the world and are in murder, mystery and chaos. Season 3 leads us to Thailand. This is a slow fire, but if you enjoy great characters and some of the best writing on TV, try it out. You can read my review of season 3, Episode 2 here.

REACHER Season 3 (Prime Video)

I’m a little behind me Reacher Season 3 Review (sorry, it will come soon), but I can say that I enjoy more than the catastrophic second season this season, even if it is still not quite as good as season 1. The story follows Jack Reacher, a one-man army when he examines a new criminal organization in Maine. This season is incredibly loyal to the Lee Child novel. Convince. It’s a lot of fun, even if it is often quite silly.

Other shows like Invincible, 1923 And The pictures ventilate too. What did I miss? What do you look at these days? What should I put on this list or add my deficit? let me know TwitterInstagram, Bluesky or Facebook.
