It’s looking like Christmas everywhere right now, but the sleigh bells have been ringing in the streaming world for weeks – and there are plenty more new holiday items on the way.

Here’s a selection of some of the new holiday-themed films coming to major streaming services for the 2024 season, along with some of the titles that recently debuted.

“Hot frosty”: A widow (Lacey Chabert) brings a snowman to life. They bond (and then some) before the holidays, even as he’s doomed to melt away. Dustin Milligan stars in this Christmas romantic comedy. Available now.

“Meet me next Christmas”: A woman races all over New York City to find the hottest ticket in town – to a sold-out Pentatonix Christmas Eve concert where she wanted to meet the man of her dreams. Christina Milian, Devale Ellis and Kofi Siriboe star in this holiday romance (Pentatonix is ​​also there). Available now.

“The Merry Gentlemen”: To save her parents’ small-town pub, a former big-city dancer (Britt Robertson) stages an all-male Christmas revue and falls in love with one of the dancers (Chad Michael Murray). Marla Sokoloff, Michael Gross, Beth Broderick and Maxwell Caulfield star. From November 20th.

“This Christmas”: In a city that really needs Christmas, it seems like anything that can go wrong can go wrong. This British animated film, based on children’s books by Richard Curtis (Love Actually), features a stellar voice cast including Bill Nighy, Guz Khan, Fiona Shaw, Jodie Whittaker and Brian Cox as Santa Claus. From December 4th.

“Mary”: The story of Mary (Noa Cohen), mother of Jesus, is retold in this historical drama starring Anthony Hopkins as King Herod. From December 6th.

“The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland”: In this animated fantasy, the Queen of Hearts has banned Christmas, and so, with Alice’s help, Santa sets out to correct the mistake that triggered the Queen’s action. Emilia Clarke and Gerard Butler, both of whom also work as producers, provide the voice acting. Available now. (Also streaming on Prime Video.)

“Nutcracker”: When four unruly children lose their parents before the holidays, their reluctant uncle (Ben Stiller) is tasked with creating a home for them. Linda Cardellini plays the lead role. From November 29th.

“An almost Christmas story”: A curious young owl gets stuck in the Christmas tree and makes his way to Rockefeller Plaza. While searching for a way out of New York City, he befriends a lost little girl who is trying to return to her parents. Waukesha native David Lowery (“Pete’s Dragon,” “The Green Knight”) directed this new stop-motion animated Christmas tale. Available now.

“A Wesley Christmas in South Africa”: When a crucial business deal traps Todd Wesley in Durban, South Africa for Christmas, the rest of the Wesley family brings the holiday and its associated folly to him.
