Newcastle boss Eddie Howe Hospitalized; To miss United Clash

Eddie Howe, Manager of Newcastle United, was hospitalized and will miss the game on Sunday against Manchester United, said the Premier League Club.

In a statement on Saturday, Newcastle said that Howe felt uncomfortable for a “number of days” and was taken to the hospital late Friday evening.

Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones will lead the team on Friday in the absence of Howe, as United St. James’ Park.

“Eddie kept the medical staff in the hospital overnight overnight to achieve further tests,” added the explanation.

“He is aware of and speaks to his family and continues to receive medical medicine.”

Howe missed the press conference on Friday, where Tindall suggested, he expected the head coach to be good enough to take his place in the dugout on Sunday.

The last time Wowe, 47, missed a Newcastle match, was for his first responsible game in 2021. On this occasion he was absent due to the positive test on Covid-19.

Newcastle is seventh before the game on Sunday, while United – led by Ruben Amorim – is the 13th place. Newcastle will then compete against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
