Newsom is looking for advice from Turning Point USA founder in the first podcast episode

The democratic California governor Gavin Newsom consisted one -to -one with the conservative Firebrand Charlie Kirk for an open discussion about his party’s defects in the 2024 presidential election.

In the first episode of his new podcast “This Is Gavin Newsom”, the governor was amazed at Kirk’s success as the founder of Turning Point USA, who played a decisive role with President Donald Trump with young voters.

Newsom quoted the OP-ED written by the famous democratic strategist James Carville, who asked the Democrats to “turn around and play dead” and to enable President Trump and Republican to “crumble under their own weight and to miss the American people as part of a” strategic political withdrawal “.

That didn’t fit well with the governor.

“I immediately, no BS, thought about you that flooded the zone around the clock, has this room every day, received a converts every day, records one or two, 10,000 people, continued the dynamic from this damn choice,” said Newsom to Kirk. “And then I think about it – we step back and watch for six months, the next two or three years to circle around us and wait for the moment to finally hit – as not necessarily the best advice. And that’s not a knock against Carville, for which I respect deeply.”

“Yes, I hope you withdraw. More for us!” Kirk replied happily. “I mean, there is no opposition, no activist spark. You are these terrifying videos on social media.”

“What are the videos? What are those who are most scarce?” Asked newsoma.

“I don’t know that this harmonious thing of 22 senators everyone say the same … Make on. Make more of it,” joked Kirk.

“What are you doing? Seriously, Charlie Kirk, give us some advice,” said Newsom.

“Get better ideas, governor,” replied Kirk.

Kirk explained his successful strategy.

“Exactly nearby, I would say in 2021, we had one goal: could we move the youth vote 10 points over 10 years?” Said Kirk. “Because our entire hypothesis was – and we did this together with President Trump and his big team – this population group was disproportionate for the democratic side. We believe that the Democrats took them for granted. We believe that their site had no message and an ideological monopoly. We saw some of the error lines there.”

“And to President Trump’s honor, he also drove the strategy in Harmon by using podcasting and tiktok.

The 31-year-old conservative activist pointed out the “crisis” among young people who have founded in recent years, which he insisted that Newsom’s party had “completely ignored”.

“This is the first time in America’s history that a 30-year-old is worse than her parents. It is a breakdown of the social compact,” said Kirk. “They are the most alcohol -dependent, most drug -dependent, suicidal, most depressed and medical generation in history. And the message, which was largely supplied to many young people, was lower.

“This was very mocked by the press that ‘Oh, you know, they create this manosphere.’ Look, you are half of the population and necessary so that every society and civilization can be successful that have both strong men and strong women.

Kirk called Trump a “cultural phenomenon” and told newsoma: “No matter what you did this guy, he rose” between the criminal charges and the efforts conducted by Democrats to remove it from state ballot papers.

“And despite all of this, of course he was shot, and that was a kind of crescendo from all of this, he somehow became this figure of an American comeback story,” said Kirk. “So he embodied what many young people, especially young men, wanted again in their politics, which was an ascending rebellation against these institutions that they failed so badly.”
