NFL playoff round: Chargers-Texans open the postseason while the Lions have a bye after winning the NFC’s No. 1 seed

The NFL playoffs are finally here.

The league officially ended its regular season on Sunday evening with the Detroit Lions’ commanding 31-9 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. That gave the Lions the No. 1 seed and bye in the NFC and dropped the Vikings to No. 5. They must now travel to face the Los Angeles Rams in Southern California to open the playoffs.

The Kansas City Chiefs have secured first place in the AFC and are trying to win their third straight Super Bowl. The Buffalo Bills are seeded second and will face the Denver Broncos in the opening round, who sneaked into the postseason with a win on Sunday. Amazon Prime Video also gets a playoff game. The streaming service will broadcast the Pittsburgh Steelers-Baltimore Ravens game on Saturday evening.
