Nick Nurse explains what helped Kelly Oubre Jr. find his groove

DETROIT – The Philadelphia 76ers need all hands on deck as they move forward with their season. With Joel Embiid injured, Paul George still getting to work, and Tyrese Maxey finding his rhythm again, the Sixers need the supporting cast to do more.

That means Kelly Oubre Jr. will have to do more to give Philadelphia a fighting chance to win games. He did that in Saturday’s win over the Detroit Pistons, when he scored 14 points with six rebounds and led the way with eight points in the first quarter.

In Oubre’s last four games, he averaged 12.0 points and 6.3 rebounds while shooting 50% from the floor. His ability to get to the basket appears to be key, and coach Nick Nurse wants to see more of that from his versatile forward.
