Nicole Kidmans ‘Baby Girl’ censored in India; CBFC deletes intimate scenes and nudity from ‘A’ rated film |

The Indian audience will not see the film in its original form as a central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) made considerable cuts before he granted an “A” certificate.
According to the CBFC certificate, a total of 3 minutes and 36 seconds were removed from the film. This includes a 1-minute intimate scene with 34 seconds with “jerk-arm action and frontal nudity”, which has been significantly circumcised. In addition, a 1-minute masturbation scene was cut with 35 seconds, with censors “removed all flashes of it whenever it appeared”. Another 25 seconds of nudity were also deleted from the film.

Apart from the pictures, cusswords were also deleted from the film, while anti-smoking and alcohol warnings were added.
Although ‘Baby Girl’ received critical recognition for his courageous narrative and deeply layered research of power, desire and self -discovery, it is about changes to reconcile the guidelines of Indian censorship.
The film follows Romy, a powerful CEO, played by Nicole, whose controlled life takes place on a passionate and unconventional affair with her much younger intern. Due to its intensive and changing dynamics of power, the film reports reports of love, control and female sexuality in a contemporary world.
While the international audience could see the film in its unchanged form, Indian cinema goers have the chance to see the film on Friday, February 21, the film on the big screen.
Only last month, the CBFC broke a kiss scene between Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde in its film ‘Deva’. Previously, 27 seconds of a slächch in Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri -Star ‘Bad Newz’ were cut.
