No. 1 RB in the 2027 class visits Alabama for the Iron Bowl on Saturday

Ezavier Crowell, a four-star running back from Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama, will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend for the Iron Bowl between the Alabama Crimson Tide and their in-state rivals, the Auburn Tigers, on Saturday, November 30, 2024 .

According to multiple recruiting sites, the four-star running back from Jackson, Alabama is currently the number one running back in the 2027 class, with On3 ranking Crowell as the number one player in the state of Alabama in the 2027 class and the seven-best prospect his class.

According to Crowell’s Hudl report, the 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back had a great sophomore season with the Jackson Aggies, leading them to a 12-1 record thanks to his 1,500 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns during the regular season. Crowell, the state of Alabama’s top prospect for the 2027 class, continued to impress in the postseason, scoring 195 and four yards touchdowns on just 11 carries in Jackson’s 41-10 victory over Tallahassee High School in the third round, securing his The team secured a place in the fourth round of the AHSAA State Playoffs.

Crowell, a four-star running back, has visited Alabama’s campus many times since Kalen Deboer took over for the Crimson Tide. Crowell was in Tuscaloosa for the Crimson Tide’s season opener against Western Kentucky, where the Crimson Tide defeated the Hilltoppers 63-0, leaving the running back from Jackson, Mississippi, high on the Tide. He told Rivals that “Bama’s visit was great” and that “they are at the top of my list.”

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Meter, Alabama currently has the best odds of getting the No. 1 pick in the state for the 2027 class, with the Tide having a 50.8% chance of landing Crowell. The Auburn Tigers, who have a 22.8% chance of securing the title, face the Tide this Saturday when Crowell visits Tuscaloosa.

This would be a significant addition to Kalen Deboer and Crimson Tide’s 2027 recruiting class, which is currently ranked first in the nation according to 247 Sports. The Tide already has three commits in this class and the addition of Crowell would give the Crimson Tide their first running back in the 2027 recruiting class.
