North Korea threatens the reaction to the US airline in the south – DW – 03/04/2025

Kim Yo Jong from North Korea, the powerful sister of leader Kim Jong Un, threatened a number of provocations in response to the US aircraft carriers in South Korea on Tuesday.

On Sunday, the USS Carl Vinson and their strike group arrived for a planned visit to the South Korean port city of Busan. This is the latest such commitment that aims to show Washington’s companies in South Korea in view of the growing threats and hostilities for North Korea for South Korea.

The airline came to North Korea days after the fourth rocket start test of the year was carried out.

What did Kim Yo Jong say?

Kim Yo Jong called the use “Confrontation Hysteria of the USA and her hand.” Before that, she made similar statements and referred to the Live Fire Drill South Korea as “suicide hysteria”.

North Korea will “examine the option carefully to increase the measures that threaten the safety of the enemy at a strategic level in order to cope with the fact that the use of US strategic assets on the Korean peninsula has become a malignant habit and the security of the DVRK has a negative impact on state media. The acronym refers to the official name of North Korea.

“As soon as the new administration appeared this year, the United States has taken the political and military provocations against the DVRK and further developed the hostile policy of the former government,” said Kim, according to a report by State Media KCNA.

During his first term as US President, Donald Trump held under unprecedented peaks with Kim Jong and North Korea and often corrected her personal relationship.

This time Trump said that he would start again, but experts believe that the North Korean leader who is busy improving an alliance with Russia may not be as sensitive as before.

“The enemy policy towards the DVRK that the United States is currently pursuing offers sufficient justification for the DVRK to strengthen an indefinite period … its nuclear war fright,” added Kim.

North Korea has repeatedly accused the USA and its military alliance with South Korea to exponentially increase its atomic capacity.

Seal expresses the willingness to ward off provocations

In response to Kim’s explanation, the South Korean Ministry of Defense warned that it was willing to ward off all provocations from North Korea, based on the military alliance that annoys the north.

A statement by the Ministry from Seoul named Kim’s warning “Sophistry”, with which the nuclear development and future provocations of its country would be justified.

In the meantime, observers believe that their statements indicate that North Korea will probably test powerful rockets to reach the US military bases in the region.
