ForbesNYT “Connections” Tips and Answers for Sunday, December 8 (#546)

Hello! Welcome to the start of a new week. I hope you are well rested and ready to go.

I’m going to make a double recommendation today and post the first one right here. Sabrina Carpenter’s Netflix Christmas special is very good, but the obvious highlight is her duet with Chappell Roan.

They both have great voices and it’s no surprise that they work wonderfully together.

And no, this doesn’t count as a loss from Whamageddon because it’s just a cover.

Today NYT Connections Hints and answers for Monday December 9th will follow soon.

How to play connections

Connections is a free, popular one New York Times daily pun. You will receive a new puzzle every day at midnight. You can play on that NYT Website or gaming app.

You will be presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to divide them into four groups of four by figuring out the connections between them. The groups can be items you can click on, names of research participants, or words preceded by a body part.

Each puzzle has only one solution, and you have to be careful when it comes to words that could fit into more than one category. You can mix up the words to perhaps better see the connections between them.

Each group is color coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to understand, blue and green are in the middle, and the purple group is usually the most difficult. The purple group often contains puns.

Select four words that you think go together and click Send. If you guess and are wrong, you lose a life. When you’re close to finding the right group, you may see a message saying you’re one word away from the right group, but you still need to figure out which word to swap.

If you make four mistakes, the game is over. Let’s make sure that this doesn’t happen with the help of some tips, and if you really find it difficult, even with today’s ones Connections Answer. Like with Wordle and other similar games, it’s easy to share results with your friends on social media and group chats.

If you have one NYT You can access the publications with the All Access or Games subscription Connections Archive. This includes every previous game from Connectionsso you can go back and play any songs you missed.

Aside from the first 60 or so games, you should be able to find my clues for each grid via Google if you need to! Simply click here and enter the date of the game for which you need hints or answers to the search query.

Ooh, that’s more true. Two perfect games in a row. And my winning streak is now 12 wins. This is what happened to me:

This was a simpler grid than it seemed at first glance. After a few moments of thought, I managed to race through the grid.

LIGHTER and MAGNIFYING GLASS opened the greens for me, while the remaining two were clear enough. I decided on the Prodigy reference even before I realized the singer’s name was Keith Flint (RIP). Since MAGNIFYING GLASS was not considered, REFLECTION had to choose the yellow ones.

I also found the blue group to be fairly straightforward, although with some concerns about the inclusion of STAIN. When I saw the remaining four words, the connection was blindingly obvious.

That’s all for today Connections Hints and answers. Be sure to check out my blog for tips and the walkthrough for Tuesday’s game if you need them.

PS: A new Indiana Jones game is released today (at least for those who didn’t pay extra for Early Access). I haven’t joined in yet, but in honor of the game’s release, I wanted to shine a spotlight on my favorite Indiana Jones-related thing.

In the ’80s, a group of kids set out to make a remake Raiders of the Lost Ark shot by shot. It took seven years to make – her entire youth. Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation Additionally, the film was shot out of sequence, so the actors appear at different ages throughout the film. One scene they failed to pull off in the ’80s was a plane explosion, but decades later they finally managed to raise the funds for it.

The film is insanely enchanting and you can watch the first 10 minutes below. If you want to watch the whole thing, you can buy it on Vimeo for $10:
