Bologna and Monza are in a neck-and-neck race to reach the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia, where they will face either Atalanta or Cesena.

It starts at 5.30pm GMT at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

If the tie is not decided after 90 minutes, it will go straight to a penalty shootout without extra time.

Bologna is fresh off a 3-0 Serie A win over Venezia but has been eliminated in the round of 16 in 11 of the last 12 seasons.

Coach Vincenzo Italiano rotates the squad with Santiago Castro at the helm, supported by Riccardo Orsolini, Lewis Ferguson and Samuel Iling-Junior.

Monza is traveling without Italian international Daniel Maldini, who has a slight muscle problem and stayed at home.

The list of absentees is quite long, including Roberto Gagliardini, Matteo Pessina and Alessio Cragno, but Stefano Sensi is back in the squad.

Andrea Petagna makes a rare start at center forward and Patrick Ciurria makes his comeback from injury.

Alessandro Nesta’s team has been without a win against Hellas Verona since October 21st.
