OJ Simpson’s former bodyguard allegedly recorded a murder confession

Minnesota police are investigating a USB drive that reportedly contains a recording of OJ Simpson confessing to the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. The drive, obtained as part of an independent investigation, allegedly belonged to Simpson’s former bodyguard Iroc Avelli.

According to court documents cited by TMZ, the recording, which is still being reviewed by Bloomington police, may also mention an unidentified accomplice. Simpson’s attorney declined to verify the authenticity of the recording. Avelli’s attorney stated that the confession was on the ride and was discovered in a backpack tied to another case.

Simpson, who died earlier this year at age 76, was acquitted of the murders in 1995 and maintained his innocence until his death. No other suspects were ever charged in the case.
