I am RAE REINA. BACK HERE. A JUDGE SENTENCES AN OMAHA MAN TO DECADES IN PRISON FOR A MURDER IN 2021. JUAN WHITE WAS FOUND GUILTY OF MULTIPLE CRIMES IN THE SHOOTING OF TIMOTHY WASHINGTON, THE THIRD. The 37-year-old was found dead near 39th and Ames in June 2021. White was 15 years old at the time. According to police, two other women were shot and survived. MARIANO FLORES WAS ALSO FOUND GUILTY OF SEVERAL CRIMES, INCLUDING FIRST DEGREE MURDER. A SENTENCE DATE HAS NOT BEEN SET. NOAH COHEN pleaded no contest in this case

Omaha man sentenced to decades in prison for murder of 37-year-old man

An Omaha man convicted of murder in 2021 was sentenced Thursday to decades in prison. Mariano Flores, now 19, was sentenced to 30 to 50 years for robbery and 150 to 250 years for five counts of using a deadly weapon to commit a felony. 40 years to life for first-degree murder, 30-50 years for first-degree assault, 60-100 years for two counts of discharging a firearm in an inhabited dwelling and 10 to 20 years for theft while receiving $5,000 or more. OMAHA, Neb. –

An Omaha man convicted of murder in 2021 was sentenced Thursday to decades in prison.

Mariano Flores, now 19, was sentenced to 30-50 years in prison for robbery, 150-250 years to life for five counts of using a deadly weapon to commit a felony, 40 years to life for first-degree murder and 40 years to life for first-degree murder 30-50 years for assault, 60-100 years for two counts of discharging a firearm into an inhabited house and 10-20 years for Theft by receipt $5,000 or more.

Washington was found dead near 39th Street and Ames Avenue in June 2021. Omaha police said two other women were shot and survived.

Flores was 15 years old when Washington was shot.

Quan White received the same sentence in September for the same reasons.

Nowa Kawunda pleaded no contest in the case and was sentenced in August to 27 to 40 years in prison.
