Only on Black Friday, this smart garage door opener is just plain fun

Black Friday may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean the deals are. You can still get huge TVs for a much cheaper price than usual, and even at an all-time low price for an excellent MacBook. However, if you have a garage, this one is for you.

A device only really shines when it’s not a hassle to set up and is fun to use, right? Well, Chamberlain’s Smart Garage Control ticks all the boxes and is available at its lowest price all year – just $17.09 (originally $29.98 at Amazon).

Previously called the “myQ” smart garage control, Chamberlain has toned down the name and describes it accurately. This small gadget set connects to your existing garage door opener and allows you to open or close the garage door using a smartphone.

Perhaps the best part is that you can finally answer the question, “Did I remember to close the garage door?” without having to drive home, ultimately reducing worry.

Not only is $17.09 a lot cheaper than buying an entirely new garage door opener that promises smart connectivity, but this Chamberlain device also works with almost all garage door openers manufactured after 1993. It is designed for models that use photoelectric sensors, brands such as Chamberlain and Craftsman, Liftmaster, Genie, Overhead Door, Raynor, Stanley and Wayne Dalton have adopted.

The setup consists of a part that mounts near the opener and a part that mounts on the door. The Chamberlain app for iOS and Android walks you through the entire process. Once everything is set up, you can open and close your garage door with the push of a button. On an iPhone, you can even set it up to automatically trigger opening or closing using Siri Shortcuts – that’s handy.

And by simply opening the app, you can check the status to see if your garage door is securely closed. That peace of mind comes in a super-convenient product that costs just $17.09 thanks to Black Friday.
