The Uconn Huskies basketball team for women led to the elite eight of the NCAA tournament in 2025, which largely scored 40 points on the back of the Star Guard Paige Buecker, who scored 40 points against Oklahoma during March 29.
After the game, Huskie’s head coach Geno Auriemma said: “Paige was spectacular. It was such a good game as I saw her all the time at which she was here.
While there is no shortage of praise between Auriemma and Bueckers, the two are not afraid to become blunt from time to time. In the first half of the Saturday, this was taught at a point where Auriemma was upset on Bueckers, which scored zero points in the second quarter.
