Paige Bueckers describes why this year’s NCAA tournament for Uconn is “different”

In the last seasons, the Uconn Huskies women’s basketball team was impressed by an unprecedented amount of considerable injuries for star players.

When Carolina Ducharm announced that she would miss the rest of the 2023-24 season due to head and neck injuries (she had been equipped since November), she became the fifth Huskies player, who ended an injury or surgery of season at the season, and with Azi Fudd (Torn ACL) (Aquy Grifer, Torn) (Torn) (Torn) (Torn) (Torn) (Torn) (Torn) (Torn) (torn) (torn) (torn) (torn) (torn) (torn) (torn) (torn) (torn) (torn) (torn) (torn) (torn) (torn), (axle acon, he was (torn) (torn) (axis acly) (axis) afy (torn acyl) (torn) (patterson (knee -surgeon).

This happened one season after Star Guard Paige Bueckers missed a whole year due to a torn ACL. Despite a significantly exhausted rut plan, Geno Auriemma led his team to the last four of the NCAA tournament of 2024, where they were defeated by Caitlin Clarks Iowa Hawkeyes squad.

A year quickly forward, and the huskies are about as healthy as the NCAA tournament 2025. And Bueckers spoke about it during their media availability session on March 21.

“I think there is a different feeling when you know that many more people are available to make a contribution in any way,” said Bueckers when he was asked how this year’s tournament feels different than last year, by SNY. “There is definitely an excitement.

“Not to say that it was not a great journey and opportunity that we had last year, but definitely different, more exciting, only to have more people and share the space with more people. And they are only happy for everyone who can play,” added Bueckers.

Uconn, which enters this tournament with a complete and energetic squad, is a problem for opposing teams.
