Patrick Corbin strikes 6, Post’s first victory with Texas Rangers

Syracuse, NY-The left-handed by Texas Rangers, Patrick Corbin, only allowed one run and achieved six to achieve his first victory with his new club on Wednesday evening at the Globe Life Field in Arlington.

Corbin, a former Cicero-North Syracuse outstanding outstanding location, was only faced with a dough over the minimum compared to five shutout inside in the 3-1 win of the Rangers over the Los Angeles Angels.

“We used his parking spaces better (Wednesday evening),” Rangers Catcher Jonah Heim told reporters after the game. “He really stayed in the middle of the plate and when they have to bring the types of pitchers good showcases, it usually works pretty well.”

Corbin said: “We were on the same side and were able to attack these boys as we wanted. It allowed some faster outs. I think we had a good combination to guess them.”

The 35 -year -old Corbin had not released ERA better than 5.20 in its last four seasons. He signed a one-year contract with the Rangers last month to be an Innings-Eater after injuries had opened a need for start-up depth.

Corbin only started his second season on Wednesday evening. He did not beat in spring training.

Corbin took 32 starts for the Nationals in 2024 and achieved an ERA of 5.62 in 174 2/3 innerings.

His six -year run with the Nationals ended last year. Corbin led Washington over this period in starts, innings and strike outs.

“We confronted ourselves for eight years in a row when I was in Atlanta,” Angel’s manager Ron Washington told reporters after the game.

“The thing with him is that he stays in the ball game. He could give up a few races, but he stays in the ball game. He is versed.
