Patriotic Americans win as New Jersey City Hall now allows American flags

The patriotic citizens of Edison, New Jersey are celebrating today after standing their ground on the Stars and Stripes.

Earlier this week, I reported how the Edison City Council had banned all props from its meetings – including the American flag and the U.S. Constitution, resulting in a riot that drew national attention and condemnation from freedom-loving Americans across the country. To make matters worse, the compliant, woke politicians had police officers physically remove several people who showed up with flags during the opening portion of the town meeting.

However, there is a point for Old Glory and independence-loving Americans, as Edison city officials have now clarified their ban ordinance and are engaging in damage control to save face.

Citizens waving flags in the town hall were removed

“Let me be clear: The Edison Council has never banned the American flag from our public gatherings and we never will,” council President Nishith Patel told Fox News Digital. “Our nation’s and our state’s flags are both prominently displayed in our council chambers. We proudly and humbly begin each council meeting by pledging allegiance to our flag.”

Both Patel and Edison, New Jersey Mayor Sam Joshi expressed “confusion” about why the prop ban got so out of control. Confusion? Really? Seems like Edison’s political leaders shouldn’t be in charge if they don’t know they’re the ones who caused the confusion, especially when police escorted flag-waving residents from the town meeting. If you ask me, the confusion definitely seems to have an ulterior motive.

Edison gardener Russ Azarello agrees, telling Fox News Digital, “There was no confusion. It was ill-intentioned from the start.”

Ding ding ding! You’re absolutely right, Russ, and it’s good for you and the other residents of Edison for standing together for the rights and freedoms of speech and expression that the Constitution, which Patel and others wanted to ban from town meetings, expressly grants to everyone granted to citizens.

Shame on the Edison City Council for creating such unnecessary drama. I hope the political indulgence was worth all the drama and headaches you single-handedly caused yourself!
