Pavel Buchnevich will return in Blues’ line -up, critically against NHL’s handling of hits in Nashville

Nashville, Tenn.-The Blues, with a strip of eight games, drives one of her top players back into the line-up for the game on Saturday in Colorado, while Pavel Buchnevich returns to fold.

He missed the last four games with what the blues announced as a disease. Buchnevich flew from St. Louis to Nashville alone on Thursday to join the team, and was on Friday afternoon for training in the usual place on the top with Robert Thomas and Jake neighbor.

“Every time you can add one of your top players, boys who are so clever and defensive and offensive for 200 feet as he play, your team just makes it better,” said Blues coach Jim Montgomery.

With Buchnevich, Zack Bolc returned to the third line with Oskar Sundqvist and Mathieu Joseph, while Alexandre Texier was again an additional striker after being four games in the line -up.

Buchnevich’s time on the ice is limited since he absorbed a goal from Nashvilles Michael McCarron on March 18. Buchnevich missed the finale of the second period in this game before returning in the third period and playing against Vancouver on March 20.

Buchnevich’s training on Friday was his first with the team since March 21st.

McCarron received a great punishment and misconduct of games for interference in the play in which Buchnevich was injured, but was not confronted by an additional discipline from the player’s security department and received no fine or a lock.

Friday was the first time that Buchnevich spoke to reporters since the goal.

“I don’t have any (expedant) puck,” said Buchnevich. “This is my (explosive) problem. I have no puck, he hits me with a shoulder, he has five minutes and no hearing what (explosion stick) switched me off. ‘Oh, we want to defend (explode) players.” (McCarron) comes in and (explode me behind the net. No hearing, nothing. “

After the goal, the neighbors fought against McCarron. Buchnevich theorized that his return at the beginning of the third period could not lead to disciplining McCarron. In Article 18 of the collective bargaining agreements, “injuries to the opposing players involved in the incident” are a factor for determining whether a game assigned to complementary discipline.

McCarron was suspended for two games in April 2021 for an illegal check and finished twice with a fine: in March 2024 due to unsportsmanlike behavior and in April 2024 due to goalkeeper mix.

“When I pucked in my ice skates, it doesn’t matter if he beats me,” said Buchnevich. “But I don’t have a puck. So he (Expletive) cannot crush a puck (explosive) as it used to be. It’s just my thing, but whatever.”

Buchnevich said he was “probably” similar hits in his career, but “I try to forget these hits. I have no problem if I got the puck and he did me. I have no problem. I have no puck, that’s the thing.”

Buchnevich was suspended twice in his career. In May 2021, he received a game for the high stems from Anthony Mantha as a member of the Rangers and was suspended in October 2021 for two games for the Head of Lawson Crouse. Buchnevich’s two-game suspension cost him $ 141,463 in salary.

The blues were 4-0: 0 in Buchnevich’s absence, which overlapped with the blues, the Colton Parayko missed. St. Louis left 9-1-1 since she lost Parayko against a knee injury, although Parayko contacted Nashville during the exercises on Friday.

Montgomery said Parayko excluded about two steps of his recovery, although another three should still go. He attributed the general attitude of the team to overcome the injuries to Buchnevich and Parayko.

“I think it was just the attitude that the pack is stronger than everyone, and everyone is committed to playing the right way, and everyone enjoys their role. Without the puck, we all look the same,” said Montgomery. “Defensive, which in my opinion was our greatest strength, we can overcome all losses.”

When Buchnevich was on the road, Boluc was raised to the top line with a fair strength, while Nathan Walker Buchnevich’s minutes took over in the penalty tiling unit. This also transformed the neighbors into a role in Kill.

“For me, we have many strikers who can kill penalty, probably eight deep,” said Montgomery. “If we have an injury like ‘Buchy’ (Walker), suddenly gets much more penalty.
