Payments for social security: checks of up to 5,108 US dollars paid this week

Social security benefits are paid to millions of recipients this week – are you one of you?

Why is it important

Every month, the SSA distributes billions of dollars to almost 70 million recipients and serves nationwide as an important source of income for pensioners.

The pension tests are always exhibited in every calendar month and are usually defined by the applicant’s date of birth or the time you have received. Additional security income (SSI), which supports older people, blind and disabled people with limited income and assets, is usually paid at the beginning of each month.

What to know?

This week, social security payments will take place on Wednesday, March 26 and are for those applicants who have a birthday between the 20th and 31st of a calendar month.

This payment date does not apply to beneficiaries who have either asserted since May 1997, or to those who also receive SSI. The performance payments for both groups were made at the beginning of this month.

How much social security can I get?

How much they receive in social security benefits depends on several factors, including age they claim, and their years of life.

On its website, the SSA explains: “The maximum benefit depends on the age at which you retire. For example, if you retire in 2025 in a complete retirement, your maximum benefit is $ 4.018.

“However, if you retired at the age of 62 in 2025, your maximum advantage would be $ 2,831 if you retired at the age of 70 in 2025, your maximum advantage would be $ 5,108.”

These numbers issue the maximum benefits, but the actual amount you receive can vary due to your lifelong income and the number of years that you have contributed to social security taxes. In January 2025, the average retirement payment was $ 1,976.

Payment data for April 2025

Performance payments will be made for the following data next month:

  • April 1st: Additional security income (SSI) favored.
  • April 3.: Payments to those who have received old -age pensions since May 1997 and pensioners who also obtain SSI services.
  • April 9th: Advantages for those born between the 1st and 10th of each month.
  • April 16: Advantages for those born between the 11th and the 20th.
  • April 23: Advantages for those born between 21 and 31.

What’s next

In the coming weeks, the SSA will carry out several important changes that applicants know.

From March 31, service recipients can no longer check their identity with the SSA by phone – a measure to prevent fraud -to -ripple diversion of payments.

In an important political shift on March 27, the SSA will again hold 100 percent of the social security payments back in order to recalculations. Previously, the reimbursement rate was limited to no more than 10 percent of the monthly services of a recipient as part of the bidges.
