Pearl Harbor memorial ceremony scheduled for Dec. 7 in Lewiston | Idaho

LEWISTON – The Lewis Clark Valley Veterans Council, in collaboration with Fleet Reserve Association Branch 63, VFW Post 10043, Sgt. Major Linehan Detachment Marine Corps League, Combat Veterans Association and other LC Valley veterans groups will host a wreath laying ceremony in Pearl’s memory Hold Harbor. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, near the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater rivers at the Blue Bridge.

The ceremony will include a wreath-laying ceremony and a flyover of World War II aircraft provided by Gary Peters, weather permitting. The Marine Corps League will provide a 21-gun salute and tap dancing. Attendees can view the ceremony from the Blue Bridge Walkway or the Lewiston Levy at the confluence.

Participants wishing to take part in the procession are asked to gather at the Southway Boat Ramp at 10:30 a.m. They will board boats from the Asotin County and Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Offices to travel to the ceremony site, arriving around 10:45 a.m
