Persecution of storms that moves through Oklahoma

11:30 p.m.

11 p.m. – Tornado watches stay in force until 1 a.m. when storms move east. Storms in the northern part of the state form behind the drying line, where hail represents the main threat. In the meantime, storms in the southern part of the state develop in front of the drying line, where the conditions for storms and potential tornados are cheaper.

Storms develop along the dry border that extends through Oklahoma and Kansas. These storms will strengthen overnight and move east, which is a strong to difficult weather risk.

Dangers include:

  1. Tornados: Low risk, but not excluded.
  2. Hail & wind: The main threats with harmful gusts possible.
  3. Flooding: Not widespread, but isolated floods can occur.

Storms are continued to move through the northeast of Oklahoma, with the main threat window between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. to rejuvenate through sunrise if a cold front runs through.
