Pete Crow Armstrong’s all-round game stars in victory

The Field of Chicago Cubs Center Pete Crow-Armstrong soaked in that moment he jogged to his fifth inning on Wednesday.

Cubs fans in the stands welcomed him with “PCA! PCA!” The chants after Crow-Armstrong put a starting shot in the left center in the fourth floor against the Los Angeles Dodgers, which caused the 23-year-old to give his hat to the crowd.

The Homerun was just one of the electrical moments of the prospective star in a 7: 6 victory that won the cubs the season series against the Dodgers.

“This is one of my favorite parts of my day,” said Crow Armstrong about the singing. “This is the coolest ever. I saw how Ian (Happ) did it so often where he did a homer, and they all give him these ovations and it’s really cool.

“It is a unique place where we play, and I like to appear every day and play in midfield.”

Crow Armstrong finished two bases with three of the eight goals of the Cubs, stole two bases and potentially stole additional bases with the binding run on the first basis when he left the liner on the run to the seventh to the left field. He made the piece that, according to Statcast, had a probability of 10%.

Crow Armstrongs 1.7 FWAR until Wednesday is connected to San Diego in Fernando Tatis Jr. for third place in the majors, behind Arizonas Corbin Carroll (1.9) and the Aaron judge of the Yankees (2.5).

“It is what the special players are able to influence all areas of the game: rackets, electricity, base, defense,” said manager Craig Consell. “It was a wonderful game and he definitely made a big present.”

Dodgers Pitchers will be happy not to see Crow Armstrong for the rest of the regular season. In seven games against Los Angeles, Crow-Armstrong is 10-against-29 with two double, a triple and four Homeruns. Seven from Crow Armstrongs 17 RBIs this year have come against the Dodgers in the last two days, including a career high of four Wednesdays.

“I mean, they are considered the best, and I think we enjoyed it to show that we are right there with them,” said Crow-Armstrong. “And it was very special for me to do it against the team that I grew up.”

The left -hander Matthew Boyd did not have his best stuff, but still set out with six innings and gave up three deserved runs (six total runs) to get to the back end of the cub at the bullpen of the cubs. The right-handers Daniel Palencia, Julian Merryweather and Porter Hodge combined for three shutout inside and only had one dough reached.
