Pete Davidson on how much he was paid on ‘SNL’ while Jason Sudeikis says ‘You don’t really make enough money to make big purchases’

Pete Davidson and Jason Sudeikis will reflect on how they spent their lives Saturday Night Live Money.

In an interview for New York Magazine, the comedians shared their “greatest enjoyment” after receiving their first paycheck for working on the NBC late-night sketch show.

“Do you know what they pay us?” Davidson replied. “It’s like three grand an episode, so I think I ate dinner.”

In the same video the publication posted on social media, Sudeikis discussed his salary as a first-year writer SNL.

“I mean, you don’t really make enough money to make big purchases,” he said Ted Lasso Star said. “So I think renting in New York was probably the biggest purchase I made after writing SNL the first year.”

Other SNL Stars including Cheri Oteri admitted to buying furniture with her salary, who said she got a sofa and added: “I had it reupholstered three or four times.” I remember one designer crying came over and said, ‘Oh, these arms are too high.’ ‘We’re going to get rid of this couch.’ I said, ‘Oh no. No, you’re not. Not today, Satan!’”

Bowen Yang said he “went to Saks across the street and bought a pair of Gucci shoes. The kind that everyone has, and the kind that I wouldn’t feel particularly cool wearing now.”

Julia Louis Dreyfus said, “I bought a pair of shoes that were out of my budget,” noting that she thought they cost $75.
