Pickup driver pushes a woman’s car into several parked vehicles after an apparent argument in Watts

WATTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Dramatic surveillance video shows the driver of a pickup truck pushing a woman’s car into several parked vehicles after an apparent argument on a Watts street early Wednesday.

The confrontation occurred around 4:40 a.m. near the intersection of 92 and Bandera streets.

Neighbors were awakened by collision noises and car alarms as the truck crashed head-on into the silver car while the woman was inside the vehicle.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers initially responded to the scene to report shots fired, but no evidence of a shooting was found.

Witnesses said neighbors rushed to help the woman, whose ankle was seriously injured in the accident, before she was taken to a hospital.

“I suspect they had an argument,” neighbor Adrian Carrillo told ABC7, referring to the two dryers. “He shot a gun in the air and climbed into his truck. She tries to back out so that the car and truck are directly opposite each other. And he just stepped on it and pushed it from down there to here. to this point.

The injured woman remained in the hospital Wednesday morning. Her family said her injuries required surgery.

The man involved in the incident is wanted by the police. His name and description were not immediately released.
