Piston’s coach talks about success without Cade Cunningham against Cavs

If you look at the success of the Detroit Pistons in 2024-2025, it is impossible to overlook the effects that the unique all-star Cade Cunningham had all year round.

Thanks to good health, Cunningham has more than ever available for his team this year. He has currently dealt with a setback that has taken him off the ground in the last three games.

Fortunately, the pistons were not yet affected. With a win on Friday evening against the best Cleveland Cavaliers. Detroit collected his third victory in a row when he made a shorthand. In addition to Cunningham, the Pistons Tobias Harris lost a setback and were without Jaden Ivey. The pistons rose to the three starters on Friday.

“It’s just a grit,” said Piston’s head coach JB Bickerstaff. “It is just a willingness to do everything it needs. I love it, how balanced it was. I love it, as everyone contributed together. Everyone played a role and everyone was involved.”

Tim Hardaway Jr. performed with 32 points. Only Donovan Mitchell scored more points after scoring 38 points. The pistons had their entire five-digit five-grays and saw Isaiiah Stewart and Ron Holland with 24 points on the bank 31 bench from the bank.

“For me this is the funny part of the competition,” added Bickerstaff. “If you are able to watch boys who have committed each other, it’s just in. No bull (explosive) that is involved. There are only people out there on the floor who try to do it and try to do it together.”

A victory of 133-122 via Cleveland enabled the piston to achieve a multi-year defeat against their division competitor. They rose to 42-32 a year and kept the winning streak alive in the absence of their only all-star player this year.

The Pistons will visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday. Cunningham’s status for this matchup is unclear.
