Pittsburgh Steelers make NFL history with victory over Bengals

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially made NFL history with their victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. They tied the Dallas Cowboys for the longest undefeated season in NFL history.

The Tom Landry-led Cowboys didn’t have a losing season from 1965 to 1985, and the Steelers haven’t had a losing season since 2003. Pittsburgh can set the record next year, and head coach Mike Tomlin now has 18 consecutive undefeated seasons to begin his coaching career.

Pittsburgh sits atop the AFC North and hopes to clinch a high spot in the AFC playoffs, but that will require either the Buffalo Bills or Kansas City Chiefs to lose at some point.

However, the Steelers continued to play well throughout the season. They bounced back from a tough loss to the Cleveland Browns to go 9-3. Pittsburgh has three division games remaining, one against each team. The second game against the Cleveland Browns will take place next week at Acrisure Stadium.
