Plan Cubs to move outstanding relievers in starting trotation

Pitching seemed at the top of the wish list for the Chicago Cubs last winter.

However, instead of pursuing some top -class starting jugs, they only added Matthew Boyd to a short -term obligation that could pay off if he stays healthy and cuts off well.

Now that Justin Steele goes to the injured list, it is fair to say that the Cubs did not do enough to tackle their rotation that has already come into the year.

Chicago cannot return to the past to change things, but they can be aggressive in the future.

In the meantime, it will be available whether you are trying to act another blockbuster before the deadline to move Colin Rea into the starting trotation, whereby he will probably start on Sunday after Maddie Lee from the Chicago Sun-Times.

In this low season, Rea was signed with the expectation that he would be a swingman, to a one -year deal.

His ability to get out of the bullpen and step into a starting role has already been fully equipped with this step, which highlights the versatility that he has made attractive for the Cubs this winter.

So far, Rea has been an effective helper for the team.

On three excursions he recorded 5 1/3 goalless innings, in which he only gave up five goals and did not publish any walks for two strikes.

How these numbers translate into a starting role is seen.
