Police are executing a search warrant in connection with the 2014 disappearance of an Alabama woman

Previous coverage: Family of Kierra Stubbs seeks answers in young mother’s disappearance. Police in Birmingham are still searching for a woman who has been missing for more than a decade. On Thursday, police confirmed with WVTM 13 that a search warrant was executed in Terrace South in the Ensley community based on tips related to the disappearance of Kierra Stubbs. The 23-year-old mother of two disappeared on April 24, 2014. “During the search we found NO human remains,” Birmingham police wrote in a statement Friday. “We cannot begin to imagine the challenges and hardships Kierra’s family has faced over the past decade-plus.” When WVTM 13 spoke with Kierra’s family in 2022, they said her brother drove her around meeting a man she knew in a parking lot. She said she got into a car with that man and drove off while her brother sat back and waited. When they hadn’t heard from her that night, they knew something was wrong. The man seen leaving the parking lot with Kierra was questioned but never arrested. Kierra’s family said they heard a story that led them to believe she was murdered. Nothing was found during the search on Thursday. Police say Detective Jonathan Ross, who took over the case in 2019 following the original detective’s retirement, is actively committed to taking any action necessary to solve this case. Police in Birmingham are still searching for a woman who has been missing for more than a decade.

On Thursday, police confirmed with WVTM 13 that a search warrant was executed at Terrace South in Ensley Township based on tips related to the disappearance of Kierra Stubbs.

The 23-year-old mother of two disappeared on April 24, 2014.

When WVTM 13 spoke with Kierra’s family in 2022, they said her brother drove her to meet a man she knew in a parking lot on 3rd Avenue West to help her with a car problem.

They said she got into a car with this man and drove off while her brother sat back and waited. When they hadn’t heard from her that evening, they knew something was wrong.

The man seen leaving the parking lot with Kierra was questioned but never arrested.

Kierra’s family said they heard a story that led them to believe she was murdered.

While police say nothing was found during Thursday’s search, they add that Detective Jonathan Ross, who took over the case in 2019 following the original detective’s retirement, is actively committed to taking all necessary measures to investigate this case to solve.
