The Waterbury police released photos from the house in which a man was held trapped for almost 20 years.

Kimberly Sullivan, a woman of Waterbury who is accused of having blocked her stepson in a room in her house and staring at him for decades, entered into a non -guilty plea for charges with kidnapping and criminal offenses on Friday.

Officials found that the 32-year-old man was “extremely emaciated” and only weighed £ 68.

Sullivan’s lawyer, Ioannis Kaloidis, made an explanation on the publication of the photos by the police on Tuesday:

“The publication of sensitive evidence by the Waterbury police authority in a pending and active examination is shocking, insulting and frankly ethically questionable. It only serves to consolidate public opinion against Ms. Sullivan. Justice requires the protection of constitutional rights and ultimately a fair procedure.
