Video above: WJCL 22 News’ initial coverage of the fatal shooting in Port Wentworth. Port Wentworth police officers say the man they suspect of killing another Saturday night was captured in St. Louis, Missouri. Police believe 47-year-old Frederic Green shot and killed 49-year-old Antwan Small. Apparently there was a personal dispute between the two that led to the fatal shooting. At the time of the evening shooting, Port Wentworth police suspected Green was driving a black Cadillac sedan. The PWPD described Green as armed and dangerous, which they said triggered a federal search for his whereabouts. After what police called a brief pursuit by Missouri police, Green was taken into custody by Lake St. Louis police. As of Sunday evening, Green has been held at the St. Charles County Correctional Facility awaiting extradition to Georgia. It’s unclear how Green was able to travel so far so quickly. St. Louis is nearly 12 hours and more than 800 miles by car from Port Wentworth. We have asked police to investigate Green’s travels from Saturday to Sunday and are awaiting a response.
