Price of pie this Thanksgiving

We’ve helped you factor in the cost of the travel, the turkey, and the side dishes, and now it’s time to factor in the prices of Thanksgiving pies.

The sweet treat completes the delicious meal, but can you also get a sweet deal? Caleb Silver, editor in chief at Investopedia, says yes. Silver says: “Bakery products are relatively stable in price compared to last year. If you buy a pie and bring it to a loved one’s house, you’ll have to pay about $6 for the very basic pumpkin pie. Pecan pie, of course, you could spend a lot more, but these days you can get these pies for a relatively good price .

And News 12 considered all options. As Silver said, the basic pre-made products cost about $6 at grocery stores. We only purchased the basic ingredients to make our own pumpkin pie, the pie filling, condensed milk, and a pie crust for a total of $9.28. And that would also require some additional spices and our time.

At Cestra’s Bakery, they do all the work for you. A homemade cake costs $20 and serves 10 to 12 people. Doreen Venezia, who works at Cestra’s, says, “When you spend the $20 and take the first bite, you’ll know where the money went.”

They also sell mini pumpkin pies for $4 and mini apple pies for $5.
