Prince Harry has insisted he is “enjoying” life in the US too much to ever return to the UK full-time

Prince Harry has insisted he is “enjoying” life in the US too much to ever return to the UK full-time.
The 40-year-old Duke of Sussex and his 43-year-old wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have been at the center of rumors that they were living separate lives as they pursued different projects, and Harry has made a number of trips alone back to the UK , but he has now explained that there is one important reason why he does not want to return to the UK.
Harry told The New York Times’ DealBook Summit: “I really enjoy living here and raising my children here.”
The father-of-two, who has children Archie, five, and three-year-old daughter Lilibet with Meghan, added that there are activities he “undoubtedly couldn’t do in the UK” with his children – citing concerns over his safety after his royal protection had been scaled back after he moved to the US, prompting him to fight to have that protection restored in a series of court hearings this year.
He added that his focus now is on “being the best husband and father I can be.”
Harry and Meghan moved to Montecito, California, in the summer of 2020 after quitting their duties as working senior royals.
The Duke has been on a series of solo trips back to the UK this year alone.
His comments come amid reports that there is a “strong possibility” that his immigration documents could be made public in the wake of Donald Trump’s US election victory.
Harry has been at the center of calls from the Heritage Foundation think tank for months to reveal his visa application records after he admitted in his 2023 memoir “Spare” to using recreational drugs – something he should have disclosed in his immigration documents.
Director of the Heritage Foundation’s Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom, Nile Gardiner, recently told DailyMail.com: “I think there’s a strong possibility that (his papers could be published).”
“It’s the president’s prerogative. The new Homeland Security Secretary could also order a review of Harry’s immigration application.
“There are several things that could happen, but it would be in the best interest of the American people for the Trump administration to release Prince Harry’s records for public review and for Harry to be held accountable.”
Mr Gardiner added he believed Harry’s files would be released next year.
The Heritage Foundation says Harry’s admissions about drugs may have led to his being denied entry into the United States.
