Prince William told Donald Trump Kate Middleton was ‘doing well’, King Charles was fighting ‘very hard’: report

Prince William and President-elect Trump had a “great conversation” when they met in Paris on Saturday.

The two were in France for the reopening ceremony of Notre Dame Cathedral and later met in person at the British ambassador’s residence.

“I had a great conversation with the prince,” Trump told the New York Post.

During their conversation, the topic of health struggles between Kate Middleton and King Charles III came up. to the topic, and the president-elect shared some positive insights into their well-being.

“I asked him about his wife and he said she was fine. And I asked him about his father and his father fights very hard, and he loves his father and he loves his wife, so it was sad,” Trump told the outlet.

He added: “We had a great conversation for half an hour, just over half an hour. We had a great, great conversation.”

Prince William, who has had a beard for several months, also received compliments from Trump.

“He looks good. He looked really, really good last night,” he said, adding: “Some people look better in person? He looked great. He looked really good and I told him so.”

While in Paris, Trump and William also met separately with world leaders at Notre Dame, including French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

William was seen shaking hands and speaking with First Lady Jill Biden, who represented the United States at the ceremony in place of President Biden.

The meeting was the two’s first since Trump’s election victory this year. They last met during his first term in office in 2019, when Trump paid a state visit to the United Kingdom

William also met with President Biden in 2022 when he was in Boston for his Earthshot Award.

Trump also met with then-Prince Charles in 2019 and Clarence House said at the time that the two had a “good working relationship.”

At the time, Trump told ITV that he and Charles were only supposed to meet for 15 minutes but ended up talking about the environment for over an hour.

“He’s really concerned with climate change, and I think that’s great. I mean, I want that. I like that,” Trump told the media at the time. “What he really wants and what he really cares about is the future. He wants to ensure that future generations have a good climate and not a disaster. And I agree.”

King Charles also turned to Trump after his assassination attempt this summer.
