PS Plus Monthly Wishlist Games for January 2025

Every month, PS Plus Subscribers get access to several “free” games that they can then add to their libraries, with the PS Plus Essential tier generally including PS5 and PS4 games, and PS Plus Extra and Premium PS5 titles through to PS1 classics offer. Now that the December 2024 PS Plus selection is coming to an end, subscribers can expect a brand new year and January 2025 with new games.

For the January 2025 PS Plus deals, subscribers must wait until January 1, 2025 for the PS Plus Essential tier games to be announced and then until January 7, 2025 to gain access to them. As for PS Plus Extra and Premium in January 2025, subscribers will have to wait until January 15, 2025 for this announcement, with January 21, 2025 being the day they become playable. Although Sony hasn’t announced these titles yet, it’s still worth speculating about what games the service might offer in January 2025, especially given recent trends and upcoming titles.

Despite everything it has to offer, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor There was heavy criticism upon release, particularly regarding the performance issues on PC. This criticism may have only been directed at the PC platform, but this negativity still had a negative impact on its reputation, even on the PS4 and PS5 consoles. So if it were added to PS Plus in January 2025, perhaps it would get the chance it needs to impress.

As a sequel to the 2014 game of the same name Lords of the Fallen (2023) takes players into a vast world where they use a magical lantern to navigate between the realm of the living, Axiom, and the realm of the dead, Umbral. The dual realm mechanic is one of the game’s standout features as it ultimately improves Lords of the Fallenoffers exploration and puzzles, setting it apart from other games in the ARPG genre. Unfortunately, Lords of the Fallen didn’t do too well from a critical perspective, despite selling over a million units in the first ten days. Therefore, the January 2025 PS Plus lineup could be the perfect place to return the favor.

Ahead of its release, anticipation is building Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was high due to the success of Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham series, but at the same time kept at bay by skeptical fans. When it finally came to market, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Provided the feeling could be something substantial and last for quite a while – something that needed to be achieved as a live service game. In the end, however, the game crashed badly and received considerable criticism for being too monotonous and boring. However, it could be a worthwhile time investment for PS Plus subscribers if it were added to the service in January 2025.

PS Plus Wishlist for December 2024 Extra and Premium Games

Something for every generation

There are several games that would make great additions to PS Plus in January 2025, especially given current trends and upcoming releases. This includes:

• PS5: Although it was only released earlier this year, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered would make a great addition to PS Plus in January 2025, especially given the above-average response.
• PS4: Atomic heart is another title that would make a great addition to PS Plus in January 2025, as it shares similarities with Ken Levine’s upcoming title BioShock-How, Judas.
• PS3: Although it only left PS Plus Extra a few months ago, LittleBigPlanet deserves a return as players are unlikely to buy the game.
• PSP: God of War: Spirit of Sparta is one of the best games for the PSP and it would make sense to add it to PS Plus in January 2025 as Santa Monica prepares for its next big entry.
• PS2: Than waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6 continues, including one of the PS2’s best games, Grand Theft Auto 3in January 2025 the PS Plus series seems to be a must.
• PS1: With rumors about a Final Fantasy 9 Remake on the horizon, perhaps adding the original to PS Plus in January 2025 would serve fans well.
