Rabanne’s “Million Gold For Her” fragrance campaign with Gigi Hadid

“It should cost a billion to look this good,” Beyoncé sings in “PURE/HONEY,” a song of hers Renaissance Album and now the soundtrack to Rabanne’s fragrance campaign “Million Gold For Her” starring Gigi Hadid. An ode to modern femininity, the French design house’s new fragrance will make you smell as expensive as you feel when you listen to Beyoncé’s confident anthem.

During the election campaign, Hadid, the house’s new global ambassador, is appropriately shining in gold. Against the backdrop of a gilded Eiffel Tower, the supermodel wears a Rabanne chainmail minidress and splatters herself in million gold as she sways towards Beyoncé.

“I’ve been a fan of the brand for so long. They had so many iconic muses and were such an iconic part of fashion history,” Hadid said in a statement about her new gig as the house’s global ambassador. “Being part of this and being able to work with such a great team is great.”

After launching overseas this fall, the highly anticipated scent has finally landed in the US. Created by perfumers Alienor Massenet, Suzy Le Helley, Nathalie Benareau and Loc Dong, Million Gold is Rabanne’s first major floral fragrance. Composed of 90% ingredients of natural origin, it combines notes of creamy lavender oil x clay calactone, mandarin oil, rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine, mineral moss accord and vanilla bourbon absolute. The result is a sparkling floral scent with an underlying sultriness.

“Throughout the project we played with the ambivalent characteristics of the Rabanne Maison: the feminine and elegant side as well as the androgynous side. “These two aspects are also reflected in the iconic Rabanne metal dress worn in the advertisement, evoking a feeling of sensuality and the feeling of cold metal on the skin,” Massenet said in a statement. “This is a dress that is very feminine. It hugs a woman’s curves while reflecting the masculine metal on a hanger. That’s exactly the idea behind the scent.”

The bottle is multi-faceted and is held by a giant chain around the neck, the brand’s iconic XL link, a motif found on its jewelry pieces, including necklaces, earrings and more. To be more sustainable, it is also refillable.

Rabanne’s Million Gold For Her Eau de Parfum is available for $95 (1 oz) to $165 (3 oz) on rabanne.com.
