Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby, who has ankle surgery and will miss the rest of the season

The decision to undergo surgery ends a difficult season for Crosby. While he was outstanding as always, the 2-11 Raiders are already guaranteed to at least match their losing total from the 2022 season with four games remaining, and they are one loss away from having their worst year of recent decade to achieve.

Still, Crosby did his part. He leads Las Vegas with 7.5 sacks, more than twice as many as the team’s second-leading pass rusher, and his 17 tackles for loss are tied for the NFL lead. Still, being on the injury report for many games and battling ankle problems has taken its toll, such as the decision to undergo surgery and the fact that he has only suffered a single sack in the last six games, prove.

Arguably Las Vegas’ best player, he has no guaranteed money on his contract beyond 2024 and is expected to be paid a maximum of $28.2 million next season, according to Over The Cap.

He has proven worth every penny so far, even in losing seasons, and he is confident he will continue to do so after overcoming this surgical hurdle.

“I will have this surgery (and) be on the path to greatness and being the best version of myself again every day,” his post continued. “I firmly believe that I am changing the game one step at a time and changing the way this position is viewed. If you don’t believe me, if you have doubts, if you think I need to relax, GOOD.”…JUST WATCH ME.”
