Rashida Tlaib Uses Thanksgiving Message to Attack Israel While ‘Mourning’ Indigenous People ‘Killed by European Settlers’

Anti-Israel Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) shared a Thanksgiving message on Instagram Thursday in support of Palestinians who are “fighting for freedom on their own land.”

“This Thanksgiving we mourn the indigenous peoples killed by European settlers and the United States to steal their land,” Tlaib’s post reads.

“From here to Palestine, we stand in solidarity with all indigenous peoples fighting for freedom on their own land,” it concludes.

The message was a repost by Tlaib, 48, that originally appeared on the Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) Instagram account.

Liora Rez, the executive director of the nonprofit group StopAntisemitism, told The Post last year that IMEU was “one of the largest spreaders of false anti-Israel rhetoric on social media.”

Tlaib hosted an IMEU-sponsored event at the U.S. Capitol last year that condemned the creation of Israel as a “catastrophe.”

The Palestinian-American congresswoman has been a vocal critic of Israel’s war effort against Hamas following the terrorist group’s attack on the Jewish state on October 7, 2023.

The House censured Tlaib last November after she defended the Hamas massacre and described the terror group’s brutality as “resistance” against Israel.

The no-confidence resolution also noted Tlaib’s use of the anti-Semitic slogan “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

Last month, days after the first anniversary of the attack, the Michigan Democrat called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “genocidal maniac” and accused him of “burning Palestinians alive, bombing hospitals, starving people and killing aid workers.” kill”.

Tlaib attended the 74-year-old prime minister’s address to Congress over the summer, but held signs during his speech accusing Netanyahu of being “guilty of genocide” and a “war criminal.”

The congresswoman called it “disgusting” that Netanyahu received a standing ovation from lawmakers after his speech.

Tlaib has also accused President Biden of supporting “genocide” in Gaza and refused to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
