Louisville, Ky. (Wave) – A day of the wave weather day begins on Tuesday at 3 a.m. when snow and rain arrive. This will be a wet snow along and north of the western Kentucky and Blue Grass Parkways, with rain and flood potential in Südkentucky. The temperatures will keep around freezing all night.

Snow will sometimes be difficult on Tuesday morning and afternoon. Fortunately, the temperatures in most areas are still or just above that freezing. In this way, treated roads can remain passable, but side streets will have problems.

Snow will be completed on Tuesday evening at 11 p.m. on the I-64 corridor at 11 p.m., with a few rain showers being continued in Kentucky at times. Traveling will improve in the course of the snow. 2 “-4” snow between the i-64 and the Ky Parkways is possible with local higher total amounts.

Simple rain and milder temperatures in the 40s are with us until Wednesday afternoon because another low pressure system is going through, this time north of the last one that gave us snow. This precipitation exacerbates the flood potential in Südkentucky.

Thursday and Friday look drier and cooler. In the early Thursday there is a little chance for a few smooth spots on the streets when the precipitation escapes and the cold air dipped, but for now this chance of snow appears.
