Sam Rosen, 77, the legendary voice behind the New York Rangers, broke the heart of thousands when he announced that this would be his last season as a play-by-play commentator.

While this news was undoubtedly heartbreaking for the faithful of the Rangers, new reports have given the fans a massive reason to be excited.

It is no secret that Sam Rosen is one of the most famous voices in hockey. After 40 beautiful years, the experienced voice of the New York Rangers already consolidated his heir when he was included in the Hockey Hall of Fame and continues to deliver timeless performance behind the microphone.

Although it has been confirmed that Rosen will not return as a play-by-play commentator for the next season, new reports indicate that roses will return to the organization next season.

Sam Rosen to return to the New York Rangers

Accordingly Essentially sportPresent New Ice City published a podcast with roses last week. During the chat, the legendary broadcaster divided insights into the celebration of the ranger for the 100th anniversary.

«Next year it will be the 100th anniversary of the Rangers and I will definitely be involved in any capacity. We will always see the role when the NHL or the Rangers or the MSG network, they want me to do something for them. I will always say yes. »

While roses ultimately decided to finally hang up the microphone, it is still great to see that he is ready to take on additional jobs for special occasions.

Similar to the TSN -Annager Bob McKenzie, Sam Rosen indicated that he remains available for special occasions and celebrations and plays a special role in the program if it is requested.

Before Rosen announced his retirement, he emphasized the effects of the Rangers organization in his life:

“I grew up in New York. I grew up in Brooklyn. I grew up as a Rangers fan. To do it for as long as I did, it is incredible. And of course it does the ultimate in 1994 because they won the greatest price of everyone and won it in the garden, and nothing could be better.”

I think I speak for everyone when I say that we are all excited to have Sam back – even if it is only for one day.
