Red Lobster customers can enjoy  drinks and  appetizers during the new happy hour

The holiday season just got a little more festive at Red Lobster, which has introduced a happy hour with $5 drink specials and $2 appetizers.

The iconic seafood restaurant introduced the new food offerings on December 2nd, just in time for customers to enjoy the season with friends and family. The promotion will help fill customers’ stomachs while saving their wallets.

According to a press release, Red Lobster guests can choose from a variety of cocktails, beer and wine for just $5, Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time. The restaurant’s selection includes a classic margarita, premium Long Island Iced Tea, Tito’s Twisted Strawberry Lemonade, a 14-ounce Blue Moon Draft, a 14-ounce Bud Light Draft, a 6-ounce Mark West Pinot Noir and a 6 -Ounce-Blue Moon Draft Ounce Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio.

In addition to a cheaper cocktail, customers receive $2 off select appetizers, notably lobster flatbread, seafood stuffed mushrooms, crab queso, lobster dip and mozzarella cheese sticks.

Nichole Robillard, chief marketing officer at Red Lobster, said in the press release: “With the launch of Red Lobster’s new Happy Hour, guests can enjoy great deals on our signature appetizers and refreshing beverages every day of the week.” It’s the perfect way to have a Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season and spend time with friends and family or simply treat yourself to some well-deserved fun!”

Combine Red Lobster’s happy hour with new entrees for a complete meal

Along with Red Lobster’s latest happy hour promotion, the restaurant chain unveiled a new menu in November. These include seven new dishes: Lobster Pappardelle Pasta, Bacon Wrapped Scallops, Lobster Bisque, Lemon Basil Mahi, Easy Cooked Mahi, Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Roasted Asparagus.

A press release said, “Fan favorites like Popcorn Shrimp and Hush Puppies are back on the menu and ready to delight taste buds once again.” The excitement isn’t over yet. With the launch of “Create Your Own Ultimate Feast,” Red Lobster now offers guests the opportunity to customize their seafood favorites. Guests can pair two premier dishes – like Maine Lobster Tail or Snow Crab Legs – with two classics like Walt’s Favorite Shrimp and Garlic Shrimp Scampi for a seafood experience that is truly their own.”

“We’re excited to give our guests more reasons to celebrate this season with the launch of our new menu,” Robillard said at the time. “From delicious new dishes and the return of beloved fan favorites to Christmas-inspired sips and unlimited Cheddar Bay Biscuits, there’s something for everyone. Come join us and create unforgettable memories with us this season.”

Red Lobster’s comeback moves to increase customer interest in its restaurants comes after it announced in May that the company had closed 99 of its locations in 28 states. The company subsequently filed for a Chapter 11 restructuring plan and Damola Adamolekun was announced as the company’s new CEO, promising to revitalize the faltering brand.
