Release date, cast and other news

The series’ second season was confirmed on March 29, 2023, less than a week after its debut on Netflix. Series creator Shawn Ryan said he “couldn’t be prouder and more excited to get started on Season 2 to share the continued adventures of Night Action with our new fans.”

The second season will also have 10 episodes and is one of the quickest renewals yet from Netflix, which usually likes to keep fans waiting a little longer.

At the end of season one, Peter flew off to his new job as a night agent, and Shawn says he hopes to find out what that means for his new relationship with Rose Larkin in season two.

“What does it mean that Peter gets on that plane and flies somewhere (presumably overseas to embark on another wild adventure) while Rose returns to California to try again to achieve her Silicon Valley dreams? We certainly have some initial ideas,” he told Tudum.

Luciane Buchanan, who plays Rose, says she wants to explore this too and see her character pursue a career in tech again. “(The ending) really leaves it open-ended,” she said. “I want closure for her too, I’m like, ‘This girl needs a lot of therapy after everything she’s been through.'”

Gabriel Basso also said Peter still has his eye on Farr. “Because of his belief in due process, he will not be upset that she is still alive,” he said. “But if Farr escapes justice, he will be a little more wary of Travers. Being a traitor and not receiving justice is not okay with Peter.”

Some of our favorite characters unfortunately didn’t make it to the end of Season 1 thanks to some crazy assassins, but we can expect the following actors to return for Season 2:

• Luciane Buchanan as Rose Larkin
• Kari Matchett as President Michelle Travers

As for the new cast in Season 2, here’s what we know so far:

• Brittany Snow as Alice, Peter’s partner and mentor in Night Action
• Amanda Warren as Catherine, Peter’s new boss at Night Action
• Arienne Mandi as Noor, an employee of the Iranian mission to the United Nations
• Louis Herthum as Jacob Monroe
• Michael Malarkey as Markus
