“Rivals” renewed for season 2 on Disney+ and Hulu

Jilly Cooper drama Rivals will return for a second season.

Based on Cooper’s novel of the same name, the series is set in the Rutshire Chronicles universe and is set against the backdrop of drama, the excessive and power-hungry social elite of 1980s England in the world of independent television.

In the US, the second season will stream again on Hulu, while internationally it will air on Disney+.

The first season stars David Tennant, Aidan Turner, Alex Hassall, Danny Dyer, Katherine Parkinson and Emily Atack, among others. It was produced by Happy Prince, a subsidiary of ITV Studios, which will also return for the second season.
