Rockshox Reverb AX Wireless Electronic Dropper Post Review

The assembly of this article is an important sales argument. If you put it in the bike, measure the height, pull the frame clamp and the saddle rails firmly, combine it with every AXS controller and drive with you. Up/down performance

A few years ago I tested the Magura Vyron Wireless Dropper and was confused about the delayed reaction. This reserved AXS drops reacts as quickly as a cable-like drop without noticeable delay. Since there is no cable to the ground and slower, it actually seems to be more reactions than some of my drop posts. Ask and you should receive.

The FOX transfer post and the special command position are audible in my brain, since both are ready with a loud clack over the seats. Reverb posts are now just as percussive in full. You will never ask yourself whether your contribution to Full Mast has returned. It informs you confidently.

With an air-over-air system similar to other suspension components, the reverb is firmly under its fuselage. There is no wobbling or squish in top-out, and yes, you can hang your bike out of the saddle or lift when the post is compressed. It takes a robust jerk to increase the item by hand, and it should be inserted into the bicycle stands, no matter how heavy your bike will.

SRAM has developed something like this as an activer that gives the AXS Reverb a little pillow if it is not fully expanded. They say this light movement smoothes the journey for people who like to climb a little deeper with their saddle, which is particularly aimed at e-bikers. I drive up completely up or down with my saddle and only noticed this function until I read about it. I can see the advantage for over -technology climbs if you want a little bend in my knees, but it is not a function that I have ever asked for. And you? Levers

It seems that the person who designed cyber trucks may have had a hand when drawing this AX drop lever. It works great and feels good in my thumb, but at best it is aesthetic. With SRAM’s elegant new braking and switching cable routing and the long -term focus on reducing the handlebar pack, this thing is like a subsequent thought. The lever is not only a plastic stain, but the included pole bracket does not match your clean MMX clamps. It is likely that there will be ten solutions to the market in the next few months.

We looked at the maintenance documents and this thing looks pretty simple every 300 hours. It is roughly as complicated to clean and reject your fork as the air chamber, and there is a good chance that you already have the tools to achieve this.

How many batteries can I add to my bike? As soon as you have one, you could just as well have someone else. In this way, if your derailleur battery dies, you can change with your drop battery and replace it back and forth when the drop has to hit. In about a month and a half of the test I didn’t have to charge the battery and I would feel comfortable if I had to take this thing on a big trip with backcountry.

Although the post is sent with maximum pressure, it is possible to set the pressure at home, which could be particularly helpful for lighter drivers who have a hard time compressing the post. Rockshox notes you “need a pump with a 600PSI -max printing to set the pressure in the post”, so that a regular shock pump probably does not do the work.
