RUSSELL CROWE is announced as host of the 2025 AACTA Awards

Acclaimed actor and Oscar winner Russell Crowe was today announced as host of the 2025 AACTA Awards, scheduled to take place on the Gold Coast next month.

The event will feature a star-studded line-up with presenters including Henry Cavill, Shane Jacobson, Asher Keddie and Guy Pearce as the Australian film and television industry celebrates its finest.

The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) is pleased to announce this Russell Crowe as host of the 2025 AACTA Awards presented by Foxtel Group.

The event will take place on Friday February 7th at HOTA, Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast. Crowe will also have the honor of presenting the inaugural AACTA Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Iconic Music Legend Paul Kelly.

Kelly’s music has added depth to many productions over the last four decades and has become an important part of Australian film culture. Out of Stupid Things in Young Einstein (1988) right up to the rating Jindabyne And Lantana and the film adaptation of his hit How to Make Gravy (2024), Kelly’s contribution to the screen had a lasting impact.

“When music and images fit together just right, both become better. It was an honor to be part of this dance.”

After the success of the BINGE Original film, How to Make Gravy, Kelly will perform his eponymous song on stage during the AACTA ceremony. From one music legend to another, British sensation Robbie Williams will also take to the AACTA stage to perform his chart-topper “Angels.”

The 2025 AACTA Awards will be broadcast in Australia on Friday 7 February at 7:30pm AEDT on Channel 10. A special extended broadcast of the AACTA Awards, including all awards from the ceremony, will be available on BINGE and Foxtel (Famous and Available On Demand) from 7:30pm on Saturday 8 February.
